Coffee

Many people love to drink coffee these days. Whether it is to wake them up or not, they drink it all day long. Peder is one of those people. He drinks coffee most of the day, although he has been drinking more water at work. I recently became an avid coffee drinker after having E. I would drink it every now and then prior to having C and after giving birth to her, but most of the time I would drink decaf. I have never been dependant on it to wake me up in the morning. I just liked the warmth of the drink and how comfortable it makes me feel. I have heard the praise for drinking a cuppa joe each day, but I have also heard the down side as well. So, who do you believe? I am not sure who I believe. I have started drinking green smoothies in the morning instead of coffee. I find them quite delish!!!! My friend Linda Wagner has a blog with the recipe....she has other quite amazing recipes as well. Since I have been drinking the green smoothie I haven't had much coffee. Saturday, I decided to have a cup, after allowing myself to have two cups per week. It was tasty, but it was caffeinated and almost immediately made my tummy hurt. It amazed me how quick my body could change and coffee have a negative impact on me. I have decided that drinking the smoothies will become my morning ritual, but I am not tossing the cuppa joe out the window. I think a nice warm cup of decaf coffee twice a week is something I would still enjoy!
